An instant cult classic, Kung Fury took the world by storm last year with an incredible Kickstarter campaign and an even more impressive final product. Inspired by ’80s cop films and created by the minds behind Laser Unicorns. Available everywhere, including Netflix and YouTube, the half-hour feature was created primarily in the filmmaker’s basement, with several green screen shots bringing the action together through expert-level editing.
The short film’s director took to social media to celebrate the anniversary of the film’s release, and announce a sequel to the throwback action-comedy. With a shot of the script and the hero’s now-iconic bandana wrapped around it, David Sandberg confirmed what many have expected for a while: there is more Kung Fury on the horizon.
